Lawyer and entrepreneur
The lawyer you call before you decide.
You may know me from Netresearch, Meet Magento or Oro. I have been an admitted German lawyer through all of it.
Today I work with owners of German companies, and with entrepreneurs from outside Germany who are looking at one.

Where we probably met
Thirty years on the other side of the table.
I founded Netresearch. I started Meet Magento, the conference series and not the software. From 2021 to 2024 I was VP Sales DACH at Oro Inc.
When I met the founders of Magento, it was a startup with promising software and no foothold in Germany. We talked about how to enter the market, and exclusivity was one of the options on the table. We took the other route, and I brought my competitors in. An open market was worth more to the software, and to my own company, than a closed one would have been. The conference series grew out of that, and it is still running years after I stepped away from it.
That was where I found out what I am actually good at: connecting people and building ecosystems around companies. It is still what I do.
The work
I work with a handful of owners at a time.
Shareholder conflicts, succession, buying and selling, and the decisions in between that nobody can take off their desk. One fixed conversation a month, short paths between them, and over the years the knowledge of a company that a real counterpart needs.
This runs in German, under German law, and it is built to last years rather than one transaction. The German site has the detail.
Coming into Germany
If you are looking at something here, call me first.
Entrepreneurs from outside Germany come to me when they are looking at a company here. Buying in, acquiring outright, or sorting out a German partner or shareholder. At that stage the hard part is rarely the law. It is working out what you are actually looking at, and who you can trust.
I tell you how I read the situation, what I would want to know before you go further, and which specialists you need. Then I bring them in and keep them coordinated, so one person holds the whole picture.
In English.
Independence and confidentiality
I earn nothing from your decision.
No commissions, no finder's fees, no stake in the companies I work with, and nothing I sell you on the side.
As an admitted German lawyer I am bound to professional secrecy. I cannot be compelled to testify about what you tell me, and my files are protected against seizure under section 97 of the German Code of Criminal Procedure.
Getting in touch
Pick a time and we talk.
The first conversation is free and commits you to nothing. Nothing to prepare either. If I am not the right person for what you have in mind, I will say so, and I usually know someone who is.
All the form needs is that you want to talk.
